    Low profile jerry can

    Hi all,

I am looking for a low profile jerry can to carry on my rhino rack. Plan to carry it on an upcoming trip. Will be empty most of the time but will need it full for a few legs. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I’ve found the following on fleabay. Has anyone tried them? Thanks.

I haven't tried any low profile Jerrys but you could also try (chandlers) boating suppliers like BCF or Whitworths, as a lot of boats use flat fuel tanks, not sure if suitable for diesel though.

It's a more expensive option but I have 20L "Jerry Can" fuel bladder, weights next to nothing, folds up to about A4 when not being used comes with inbuilt pourer, this is just an example, others out there also

Why not get a normal steel jerry can and lay it on its side?

I have 2 and regularly do this and have never had a problem.

    cheers, DL

Carry 2 x 10 litre fuel containers. They are more squat in size. Easier to lift on and off roof rack. Only $16 each from Bunnings.
