It’s nothing special - it’s just to allow them to divert the river (even more)

It’s broken through into the mine before - that’s what happens when you try and put nature in its box and stop it from what it used to do - there’s around 5KM of fresh air where the river used to run so it’s not surprising it wants to go back there.
