Certainly if the battery is down a bit or you have just started I see 14.5v then after the engine has been running for a while and the battery gets a bit of charge to recover the starting loss it settles back to 13.5v and sits there.

I measured the battery voltage as part of the process of identifying wiring to connect my additional camera. Was surprised when my multimeter read 14.84V. To confirm I then measured the voltage across the battery terminals and it was the same.
Admittedly the meter is a brand new cheapy to replace my Fluke so there could be a calibration error however this voltage is rather high.
Appreciate any comment as this appears abnormal.

what's abnormal? 14 volts is normal from the alternator to charge the battery. It'll fluctuate in these cars because of the smarts.
Hi Gravy, 14.7v is normal when first starting your motor.
The slightly higher voltage you saw was probably because of cold ambient temperatures.
Here in Australia, that is about as high as it gets unless in very cold areas.
In Northern Europe, 15.5v is normal in winter months, so yours is fine.
