    Traxide D4-5U installation

I'm sadly a bit time poor at the moment and just doing this in stages so will use this thread to document any questions I run into...

I've only just started and run into a snag that I cannot work out from Tim's video or pdf. what are the three in the red circles of the first pic? close of of two in the second picture. Are they sensors of some description? they are not attached to anything, just plastic clipped into those position. can I safely relocate them elsewhere in the engine bay?

They’re all blanks where you would have a fuel burning heater in Europe. You need to unclip them where they attach to the chassis (leave the blanks in the plugs), move them out of the way and cable tie them up somewhere. They’re in the way of the battery tray.

I would recommend routing those FBH wiring looms around the battery tray rather than underneath to avoid damage. I followed Scott’s advice and mounted the thick loom to the plastic wall of the cranking battery cover. Drill 3 small holes and then use the factory retainers (which are present) with a bit of silicon. Add a small piece of split tubing where it is anchored to earth stud to prevent rubbing on the edge of the battery tray. For the thin loom, with the two blanks on the end, I covered it in 10mm split tubing then moved it to the driver’s side of the battery tray and cable tied it to existing wiring looms.
