According to the wiring diagram :

Left : Park / side - RB (Red Brown - Pin 2) / Indicator GR (Green Red - Pin 3)

Right : Park / side - RO (Red Orange - Pin 2) / Indicator GW (Green White - Pin 3)

Just remember - Strip and solder... Do not use scotchlocks...

I pop the pin out of the connector, strip a bit of insulation with a blade, solder and then slide some glue lined heatshrink on. Much neater and less destructive than the old snip, twist and solder.

That’s how I do it too. I never cut the wire.

Just pointing out the avoidance of Scotchlocks.

That should be written in fire above the door of every establishment that sells them.

On the other hand, you'd be shocked at the number of people who've never heard of glue lined heatshrink, or that you can de-pin a connector. So it's all about awareness. Friends don't let friends use any insulation piercing connectors near a vehicle.

    Dear all
i am back after a few days breaking out of the daily routine
    indeed fantastic advice
Can I push my luck asking if somebody can guide me on where you locate a detailed guide of wiring layout for the headlamp wiring on both left and right side
reason as want to wire spots as well and need to pick up the bright for contact to relay
however I believe you need to be able to operate the spots with or without the brights
brights with spots or spots only
anybody done a spot and bar light setup / wiring recently
    Thanks
    Hennie

You can get the manual from the Aulro shop on CD or electronic download.

You must wire Driving lights to use the high beam trigger, and it must then be separately switched.

    Giving you the following choice:
    Low beam
    High beam
    High beam & Driving lights

You can find an early D4 wiring diagram here (where I got the colour code info from) :
