We have two on the 'fleet', I need to replace one next year and can't find anything similar in performance, tow capacity etc.
Hers is at about 240,000 mine is at 150,000 so coming up for a cambelt next service. Will also need rear diff bushes and I know hers needs rear control blades.
We started with a Petrol Terri, SWMBO was getting 18litres/100 on the school run ! Down to around 10litres/100 with the diesel.
Lots of rubber bushes to regularly replace and when the prop shaft fails, and it will, a new one from Ford is $2,300 !
Cost $1,100 for a reco but there was a core charge in that price so not too bad.
AWD diesel 2.7 tonnes tow capacity but the 2WD is only 2.3 tonnes. I may have towed well above the 2WD capacity without issue.
If you need any further intel let me know......

Not due till 165K and never saw any reports of cambelt failure when I was on the Ford Forums.
I did have problems due to the HP fuel pump belt not being fitted properly causing issues. Both issues fixed well outside warranty at no cost to me (apart from some inconvenience).
Just noticed that you mentioned your neighbour having the belt fail in the thread below.
TDV6 HP fuel pump pulley problem (not Land Rover)

Extremely rare for a belt to fail even well past the scheduled replacement date, also rare for the tensioner mount to fail ( on earlier 2.7's) before a belt change yet mine did.

I guess with a lot of these 'one-off' problems it begs the question 'how has the vehicle been treated ?"
If buying secondhand you can't know how it's been driven buy previous owner(s).
Mine have been purchased new. First was ordered before the diesel was released then I had a delivery delay because of 'body control module problems'. Second was a runout model as production stopped.
There have been a few warranty issues but all fixed then it's a regular cycle of replacing rubber bushes.

It’s the same engine as we all know, the LR arduous schedule has belts at 100k
Arduous is Andy combination or assortment of:
lots of short runs
hot temps
dusty environments.
Lots of towing
My belts were done at 98,000km and will be done again next year.
On SWMBO's car 165,000, mine will also be done at 165,000. Ford recommend 165,000 or 10 years from memory.
Do a fair bit of towing, usually Land Rovers on trailers !
Next comes the discussion about gearbox oil change intervals....
Hers was done at 210,000km mine hasn't been done yet. Constantly told ( by people on forums) it should be changed at 80,000 otherwise it will fail ......
With our first Terri (petrol, ZF box) I did a 1/2 change with Nulon oil at about 200,000. I was told on the Ford forum that the box would fail and need to be rebuilt..... carried on for another 20,000Km till we sold it without issue. I think Nulon did remove the oil from the market but it claimed to be Lifeguard 6 compatible.
Reason for the 1/2 change was a split in the plastic sump.
Service intervals.......I've been sticking with 15,000km without issue. Dealer until it passes to SWMBO then the independant my son works for.
