    D4 Winch fuse

My friend has just got a D4 and after servicing Disco as an Indi for years is setting up his D4 as his tourer
When changing over some globes he came across a fuse stating "Winch" as one has never been fitted to the vehicle and has never seen the same in 20 years guy is guru

Has anyone come across this ?
    Oh 2.7 6 speed

    Thanks Craig

I've never seen a fuse on a winch, it would need to be 500a to be of any use.

I have had winches fited to quite a few of my 4WD's No fuse to be found on any of the winches.
The only fuse I have seen on a winch are on the anchor winches on my boats and they are usually 80A/100A trip switches.

My 90 has a fused winch circuit.

From memory, the Land Rover winch installation has an isolating solenoid on the winch power supply. It is probably the switching circuit for this solenoid that is fused.

    Cheers,
    Jon
