    SDV6 alternator gone PA65A

    Hi All i recon the alternator in my 2011 SDV6 has gone the following code has been thrown PA65A i have seen a few youtube videos that make it seem to be easy to replace my self but maybe they where the single turbo TDV6. how hard is it to change the Alternator on a SDV6. local indy quoted 1580 to do it
    i am not to bad on the tools i do all my own servicing.

    It’s not difficult, just annoying and fiddly. They couldn’t have made the cables any shorter so it feels like a mission.

    Did you unbolt the cable from the starter motor?

    If you were in Perth I’d do it for you for niks. Single or sequential turbo no difference. DENSO alternator is around 650-700 bucks, takes about 2 h to replace. Not hard at all. Save your money.
