    What is this escaped cap?

Whilst checking the front diff breather, I noticed that this little plastic cap is not on the separate metal breather tube indicated. What is this part, and should I be worried that it was uncovered?

I've reinstalled the plastic cap, which interestingly has a torque setting marked on it, which suggests it's 'reasonably' significant?

Engine all good, so I don't think there are any issues, but help educate an owner! (D4, 3.0 TDV6, 2016 MY).

    Thanks folks...20220309_150229_2.jpg

(NB its next to the battery box, visible on right in the picture - engine cover on the left...)

That’s the flux capacitor connectors. Did yours not come with one? Does it feel slow?

Ah, now I know what that is, I will just take mine back to 2011 and tell my younger self "to walk away, son, just walk away...."

Thanks mate - cap is back on, should all be good. I was lucky - the retaining strap had broken, and it was just lying in the engine bay...

I see they're out of stock. I've put it on my wishlist. The problem is logging onto the commodore 64 via floppy drive is taking too long. Got thr datasheet though. Now to find a power source to provide 1.21 GW....somehow I don't think the D4 alternator is up to the job

My son works at Jaycar and some clown came in saying why do they have this on their website when they don't actually have it. Totally missed the point. You just can't please some people

It's been there for a few years now. The data sheet would have been gold if they'd left off the "april fools". If a joke has to be explained it's either not funny or you're too thick to understand it.
