D4 MY14 Locking Issue with key fob

Hi All,

I have just purchased a MY14 D4 with 8 speed tranny 168k on the clock. This is to replace my dead D3. Very nice to drive. I do have a problem locking the car however. I need to press the lock key on the fob numerious times and it will eventually lock. It will unlock with a single press on fob and the tail gate unlocks with one press as well. I can change the unlock from all doors unlocking to just driver door unlock. Unfortunately I only have one fob and no emengency key with it. I'm wondering if I have a faulty fob or if it could possibly be the security module. I have gone back to the Stealer I purchased it from but I'm yet to hear back. Any thoughts appreciated.

Worth trying a $5.00 battery first? Mine seem to last around 3 yrs.

If it unlocks first time, every time then the RF bit is fine. Try rocking the lock button around with your thumb while pressing it and see if it locks. Could be the button is marginal.
