My 2013 D4 sat nav is frozen on the initialising screen. I tried a power disconnect but no luck. No fault codes thrown. Last service the mechanic said that the whole infotainment system could be lost if the tried to reboot it...50/50 chance.
Seems weird to me. Anyone come across a fix? I'll try a power disconnect again and touching the battery cables together to drain the system. I know the maps are old now but it grates me when something isn't working.

Has asked a local place:
"Thank you for the information, most likely you will need to get the factory navigation fixed before doing anything else, we will have to check and see if it can be fixed or replaced, estimated price for diagnose could be around $300-$400 depends on the issues, while fix or replace the faulty factory HDD navigaiton unit could be $1500-$2000, and it may take 2-5 days depends on the issues."
Ouch, that's a hard no thanks.
