    D3 V8 Engine Mounts

Hi to all the brains trust.

I'm usually lurking in the RRC section with my old 2 door but am posting on behalf of my brother who has a 2005 Discovery 3 HSE with the 4.4l V8. He's currently getting it up to rwc spec in order to pass it on to a new owner as he's gotten himself a very nice D4 and one of the items they have picked up on the RWC inspection is that an engine mount needs replacing.

He's bought a new unit but we are both a bit stumped as to the best way to replace the mount, is it a matter of loosening as much as possible and lifting the complete engine and gearbox to gain enough clearance in order to replace or is it basically an engine out job?

Any help or advice from someone who has attempted this before would be much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

No experience with the V8 but i'd imagine that undoing both sides should allow you to jack the engine up enough to get the mount off and new one in.
