    Suspension fault C1130-66 (6C) - diagnosis procedure?

    Hello brains trust ...

    A couple of days after its 160k service, everything is running perfectly.
    Short drives to and from work, less than 7km each way - no isssues.

    On the weekend, about 20 minutes in after a mix of freeway (80/100kph), highway (70/80kph), suburbs (60/50kph) up pops
    the Suspensions Error.
    Press OK to clear, yellow triangle stays on, drives fine. I check that the car goes into Access mode, Off-Road height - no issues.
    Restart car. No warnings.
    Drive home, and about 20 minutes later, same fault.
    Scanned it the next morning with my GAP IIDtool:

    RLM-Suspension
    C1130-66 (6C) Air spring air supply - Algorithm based failure signal - has too many transitions/events

    Indy that did the 160k service did not remove the body. He's clever like that.
    I also have an X-Lifter that's been running just fine for several months. It does need a firmware update from 1.05 to 1.07, but yet to do that.
    I unplugged the controller, but not the box itself, and have been driving to and from work or other short runs (less that 7km and 15 minutes) all week. No issue.
    Had to go somewhere 30 minutes away this evening. About 20-25 minutes in: Suspension Fault.
    Parked, did my business, got back in car, restarted - no faults.
    About 25 minutes later: Suspension Fault.

    Come Saturday I'm thinking I'll loop out the X-lifter altogether and see what happens over the weekend with a longer run, and next week over the same short runs.
    I'll also update the X-lifter firmware, probably after the week long trial.

    Questions:
    - could it be the X-lifter?
    - is the 160k service a coincidence?
    - am I doing it any harm by continuing to drive it?
    - if I take it on a 3h/300km trip on a weekend away in another week's time, am I asking for trouble?

    Watch your gallery pressure on the GAP while you drive. It's probably climbing to 5 bar at which point the car farts and it drops down to 2 bar. If this repeats enough times you get the "too many transitions".

    On mine it was slooow. Took more than 2 hours driving straight to get it to happen and was cured by re-sealing the center and front valve block. They were full of silica dust.

    Does sound like the suspension air compressor needs a rebuild
    Easy enough to do, there's a few good kits available on line that include new o rings, desicant, alloy cap, piston seals etc. Cheaper than a new compressor. Google "X8R air suspension"

    Nothing to do with Xlifter at all - and the new firmware is a feature addition not a fault fix.

    Too many transitions is as others have advised, the compressor / valve blocks are making too many adjustment attempts and logging the error.

    Depending on model (Hitachi or AMK) you have either a blockage in the dessicant / filter pad (kits available for both models)
    Or there is dessicant in the valve block(s) - which can also be disassembled and cleaned.

    More a time job than a cost one if you do it yourself
