    Paypal passing off fraud?

    Beware anyone with paypal

A business I've got a share in has just received an email, to update their paypal account.

    i.e. give some details.

It looks very convincing. It appears to come from support@paypal.com.

But they can't fool me.. we don't use paypal!

    Regards
    Max P

Nah, they are the same as the ones you get that look like they come from e-bay or the banks, just all scams.

Yep we don't have merchant facilities with them.

    It was very cleverly done.

I use thunderbird as a mail browser, it shows up where the links go to at the bottom of the page. It gets pretty easy to tell when the link doesn't go to an authoritative paypal address.

Somehow they never make all the links work properly.

    Cheers
