I am hoping someone here has come across this, as I am a little stuck!
I have an early model (2010) L319 Discovery 4 and am having a strange problem with locking. I recently had both the front right and rear right door actuators fail. I purchased a couple of new ones off ebay (supposedly matching - although hard to tell as they dont have the same numbers on them) and installed them.
Everything seems to lock and unlock correctly, except the car is still beeping 3 times on lock to complain and the mirrors are not closing (this is a HSE where the mirrors previously closed on lock). At first I thought it must be another door or the bonnet, but the dash is showing all doors closed and I have confirmed that all doors are actually locked.
I took the car in to my friendly mechanic to put an Autologic on it, and the only relevant error that is showing is from the Drivers door module:
"B1C39-29 Key lock switch. Signal is invalid"
This would suggest that there is still a problem with the driver's door, but I'm a bit stuck as to what to look at next. Is it possible that, even though the actuator I installed is locking and unlocking, it is the wrong model? Or is it possible that there is another problem with wiring or something that I am missing?
Any thoughts or advise would be very much appreciated!
Thanks.
My guess is you don’t have the correct door actuators. EBay can be like that - there are a number of different model actuators for the same model. Sorry I cannot help further

One other possibility? Could a wiring point to the actuator be glitching making it appear as your actuators are/were faulty? Two at the same time had me scratching my head. Not sure how to trace or where to look myself.
Just a thought.
Check the CCF (vehicle configuration file) you may need to reactivate or re teach the 2stage unlocking.
I'm about to do the same, my2011 SE is suffering the same issue. Note my mirrors fold in each time you lock the car. I've ordered and received two genuine latches, one for drivers door and the other for the rear drivers side door. Now just need the time to install
Interesting that there seems to be a bit of this door actuator issues coming up. Still have not solved my connection problem, but like the op here, replacing the actuator did not solve the initial issue.
Idea? Test the new and old actuator while not in the door. Just testing the two old removed ones would be enough I assume.
Might solve my theory issue may not be the actual actuator. I did have one actuator replaced on the tailgate of my 2005d3 (RIP) none of the others on it or my 2010 D3 have had any problems. My Key battery did give me griefbut that impacts on more than just one actuator
I have replaced both rear passenger door's locks on my MY13 D4. The RH side would not lock (except manually) so I got the stealer to replace for ~$500 after an unsuccessful argument over warranty. A year or so later the LH side would not unlock, although I could see that it would try, but not quite manage to unlock. I did that one myself for about $50 IIRC and with the help of YouTube and a few hours. So far the front doors have been ok (touch wood) and no faults were evident after replacement.
