I can't recall with a TDV8 of that year, but early TDV6 had room in the brake master cylinder box.
Has anyone successfully fitted an auxiliary battery to their 2007 TDV8 RRS (2005-2009 pre facelift)? Where and how did you secure it?

Hi Gary, if you have a look in the battery compartment on the driver’s side, as BigJon posted, you will see an area where the auxiliary battery will fit.
If you can take a photo of that area and post it up, we can tell you what to do to fit the battery there.
Or if you have the room, you can fit one of my D4 kits which come with a stainless steel battery tray which is fitted just in front of your cranking battery. Again, take a photo of this area and post it up.
I fitted one of drivesafe’s kits to the underfloor cargo area immediately behind the rear driver side wheel well. That was a good spot.

Hi Gary, unfortunately that installation is in an L322 Range Rover. The L322 has a battery compartment in the rear under the floor, on driver's side.
As you have a Range Rover Sports, you need either a D3 or D4 kit, where the auxiliary battery is installed in the engine bay, as there is no compartment in an RRS.
It looks like I'll be fitting an Optima Yellow Top D34 under the bonnet in front of the brake master cylinder. I pick up the genuine Land Rover battery clamp/bracket tonight after work as step 1 in the project. The next step will be the VSR and wiring followed shortly thereafter by the battery.....then I think I'm set for a camping trip![]()

Hi Gary and if you look at my kits and see which one best suits your needs, you will probably save heaps and have the best setup you can get.
My kits will be back up on my web site very shortly but if you post up what you want, I can post up the info about which ever kit would best do what you want.
Also, Yellowtop batteries are proving to be incredibly unreliable and SSB make I direct replacement for the D34 which is a 60Ah battery ( the D34 is a 55Ah battery ) and the SSB is at least $100 cheaper.
I'm looking at just under $400 for the D34 Optima yellow top and $100 for the InterVOLT 150 Amp PSR12150 (Plus cables and fuses)
