I was in a pickle after ordering the wrong thread size as didnt know there was 2 variants and the UK supplier I ordered from only listed/stocked one size (the larger (M18 x 1.5) ) which they said was correct for my VIN, but it seems there is some variance, as our 2010 l320 has the thinner thread variant ( M12 x 1.5 ).

Im guessing as its not a high demand product, there was no one selling one in australia that listed it as compatible with tdv8.

But i noticed that online uk ebay sellers list the thin variant as compatible with both 2.7 and 3.6 engines.

Then I found that GOSS, an australian parts supplier lists both thin and thick variants as compatible for 2.7, but nothing compatible for 3.6 (all autoshops also have no listings for 3.6 sensor)

But it looks identical even though the part numbers are different on it , that is just likely down to what factory makes it for what market.

So I figured id take a shot, as I have the IID tool by GAP so i could compare readings of old vs new sensor to double check there was no difference.

And it fits, works and reads the same pressures. The part is RPS128 and can be over-nighted by the autoshops.

possibly there are some cars with with the thicker variant too, this is RPS105

Left is original, right it rps128:
