Pretty much anything and Grays are unlikely to be any more forthcoming or to give you the opportunity to put a code reader on it. Could be a bargain (or spare parts)

I recall once I talked with an officer (via phone) in Grays' NSW office and he said all independent inspections are welcome including your own tools to plug in to READ the codes as long as you will NOT moving the car out of its current parking slot in their place, and also you will NOT trying to clear or remove the codes. You might verify this with VIC Grays' office and it might be Yes or No.

However, off topic a bit, I also had an (good) experience with Pickle Auction before and I know that we could do inspections with tools/code readers and with the similar conditions that NOT clearing the codes nor moving the cars. Anyway, we believe that Pickle has higher reputation of better car quality than many others because my friends did buy many cars from them without problems.

So you might give them a better negotiation for your own inspections.
