Rear wiper motor repair.

S a few days ago a large branch game down off a gumtree and clipped the back of the D3 taking out the wiper again,a google search found that the replacement nylon gear is no longer available apart from Aliexpress or other seelrs based in Turkey for a ridiculous amount. Decided to search for an STL file so i could 3D print the gear but the only one i could find i had to purchase, AUD10.55 was reasonable so purchased the file and now printing a test print. I will post pics once its done then offer a printed gear to anyone that wants one or send the STL file to print yourself.

Bloody laptop timed out so print failed but got far enough to tell that the gears are the same.

Came out mostly ok except when I rotated the model to print flat I did it on the wrong side .

Printed another one and this came out correctly, assembled the motor ready to swap over and then I'll rebuild the the other one.

What is an ‘ STL’ file Nick?

It's basically a 3D rendering of an item you wish to print.
3D printers use a few file types, STL is one of them.

If you have Windows 10(or higher), you can open/view/edit STL files in a built in program installed by default in Windows. Either 3D Paint or 3D Print.
