Rear glass door will only open when main boot is open ?

Normally (and when we originally bought the car) the glass would not open when the main boot is opened, as you need to use the glass handle to open the main boot, and you in the process press the glass open button, so it must behave this way.

But now if the main boot is closed the glass will not open, you have to open the main boot to open the glass which is very impractical.

any ideas ??

That's a bit odd.
Yes - normally you can't open the rear glass is shut unless the tailgate is shut, and vice versa.

Have you tried a reset - open bonnet, shut everything off, wait for a few minutes, disconnect battery, touch positive and negative leads together, reconnect battery?

Here is the a wiring diagram that covers the tailgate/rear glass latches, buttons etc. It is for 2010 model year. Hope that helps.

thanks, i tried resetting the battery as suggested, no change.

the thing with wiring diagram, is all the switches work, ill have to check any ajar sensors though now, but other than that the logic is all in computer

So I checked the ajar detect switch for the glass lid, and it is working, and the ecu is receiving it as it wont let you open the main door if the glass is open.

But there is no message on the screen to indicate the glass is open.

Also gap tool control io can open the glass door and main tailgate.

Tried various settings in ccf for "Rear Door" option but no luck.

Restored CCF to default and its working again !!!

Made changes again I knew I wanted still / had before and still working.

So maybe its something i changed prev and didnt realised i had or reverted but not sure that is case or something in ccf got confused.

I noticed too restore default only seems to restore settings in the confirmed list, not any changes made in untested, would be better if it could reset everything .
