GME UHF Radio Handset dash mount.. any ideas

Anyone come up with a easy to fit and remove handset mount for the dash.. i was thinking of something that can attach it either side of the Pivi Pro.
I have ordered the Tuff Ant antennae mount and about to make a decision on either the GME 370C or 390C, trying to work out which is best in that as
well, so happy for any advice

    Cheers

Why not their magnetic unit and some 3M tape?

Tape can be cleaned off easily when you’re done with it.

trying to find something that could be easily clipped in and then out.. as we will be on the road a fair bit next year for months at a time,
i was thinking something that can be removed quite quickly to enable it to be hidden etc..

I've got the GME xrs connect portable unit, great bit of kit. I swap it between cars. For the handset, 3M tape works very well to mount the clip on a smooth surface. On the D4 the little cubby to the left of the terrain control knob was perfect. Will have to find a spot when the L663 arrives. Tempted to still mount a ground independent 6.6dB antenna externally and route the plug through to the cabin for long range (I believe the jack is the same) as the portable antenna is only 2.1dB but really good for hilly areas and convoy travel.

The mount base is so small it doesn’t matter

And any antenna mount will give it away so moving the mic is a waste of time.

I have one of these on each side of the pivi-pro: Centre Mount - ClicOn

I have had this style in a number of cars and they work well. The website now has two extra designs that weren't available when I bought mine that look to be a tad better. Centre Mount - ClicOn and Console Mount - ClicOn

I can also vouch that the ClicOn is a good product as I have one in my D3.

And then you attach your attachment to this rather than the dash?
