						Hi All. Hoping someone might be able to help if they’ve needed to find an earth point in the rear cargo.
I’m adding a 20A fuse tap to an Anderson connection to avoid using rear cig socket which is not as secure and can overheat easily. I’ll be running it from a 20A fuse point in rear cargo fuse box. There appears to be a couple of potential earth points hidden in behind fuses but access is limited.
Any help or input would be appreciated if others have found a simple solution.

						i seem to remember there was a post/thread on one of the New Defender owner groups on the book of faces, i am not sure
if it was Australian owners or a general owners group that showed the Anderson cabling being connected to a terminal block under
the rear cargo floor, i think which fed the MHEV power units .. Maybe worth a search/hunt on New Defender owners, Australian
Defender Owners, and other variants on FB if you have access .. I learnt the hard way and my auto spark ripped out all the
cabin trim to run the cable to the rear from under the drivers seat..
If its a mild hybrid this video will give you some idea about earthing opportunities under the tub in the rear....there are a few.

You'll need to remove a bit of left hand trim to get the tub out.

						Thanks for the info everyone. Given the potential earthing point behind the fuse box is not easily accessed, I’m thinking under the rear cargo lid is maybe the only option.
Not perfect as it will leave some of wiring exposed from there back to the fuse but it may have to do. Will just need to look at a small cut on the cargo lid to run the wiring from the earth back to where the fuse tap connects to the fuse box.
Let’s see if anyone else has a magic fix.

I dropped a fuse and it landed in a place beneath the fuse box only accessible by removing the tub.So in doing that I could see a path for wiring without making holes or having exposed wires.
