    Lithium Charger

I am looking at changing to lithium batterys for my Tvan.

Where the existing batteries are I can fit 2 x 100 AH lithium.

I would want to change the in house 240v charger.

The house charger is a 15 amp Projecta. They make a 15 amp unit with Li setting which would be a straight swap.

However, on Projecta's website they say that for Li that the 15 amp unit is suitable for up to 150AH

If I go to the next size charger, I would have to make modifications to the housing where it is mounted.

Would a 15 amp not do the job, albeit just a little slower to charge?
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Hi Dave and have a look at the link below.

I have never dealt with him, but he does seem to know his stuff and his Cub Scout 175Ah battery, which is the size of a standard 100Ah lithium battery, looks pretty good, both price wise and its performance.

He also has a lot to say about charging lithium batteries.

I don’t see an issue with the 15amp charger…it’ll just take a little longer, and generally on 240 you have time up your sleeve as compared to say solar.
