    107 vs 109 tailgate

I’m chasing a replacement tail gate for the 107 and may have a 109 on offer. Are they the same? I think, maybe, the bottom hinge may be different, but I guess I could swap them over.

I'd suggest getting hold of a parts catalogue and comparing the part numbers. On the 80" models the tailboard "skin" is listed separately from all the hardware -hinges, top and side capping, bottom seal, seal retainer. Hard to imagine 107" and 109" would differ greatly.

I am pretty certain they are at least interchangeable. The only real changes between 107 and 109 S1 were in front of the firewall, plus lots of details elsewhere - but these changes throughout Series production anyway, not just with the change of wheelbase. Rover kept bits interchangeable if possible when improvements/changes were made, as it simplified both production and support.
