    Talking Princess Fiona

Just returned from a run up the island and back over the central highlands. 460k for the day so in Tassie terms a decent trip.

Phoenix was that you I saw in a late 60's shorty on the Bass Hwy at about 1440?????

Well this is the first time I have had the princess out on a long run and its been an interesting day. I used about 18l for 204k which I was seriously chuffed with. The BFG Mud Terrains just have to go. I'm going deaf enuff as it is with out making things any worse.

The little 2.5l pulls like a train and at one stage it was comfortably doing 140k.

    I definately need;
    1. Pyrometer
    2. AT tyres
    3. New Rims (I've just got 6 Rangie Rims)
    4. Four new coils and shoks
    5. WTF is the go with the headlights??? A couple of candle would have been better.
    6. Low coolant alarm. (got something in mind 4 this).
    7. DRIVING LIGHTS
    8. 2nd Battery
    9. Snorkel
Apart from the above I seriously impressed with the Defender. Its a great tractor. I had it out in the mud last weekend. Pictures will be posted shortly.

    Cheers,

Sorry, not me, Mine's a LWB Ragtop. Also, I was helping my wife collect census forms at that time (i'd have rather been working on the ambulance, but I did say I would help)

Well contact drivesafe on this forum he'll sort you out with the headlight problems. He does a wiring upgrade kit. He even has a combined set up for headlights and spotties which would be just what you will need. (There is some detail on his gear in the projects forum).

He can also sort you out with an excellent dual battery electronic isolator setup. Definitely recommend you have chat with him.

I'm surprised by what you say re the BFG's. I have some on mine and the noise level isn;t all that different to the bald road tyres I used to have on it. Maybe it's just that my car is particularly loud anyway. Perhaps a TD5 (your's is one isn't it?) is quieter than a 200Tdi.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
