D3 brake controller install

Hi chaps , I'm installing a Prodigy P2, what wire in the foot brake switch is the COLD one please? , also what is the brake wire that goes through to the trailer plug ? or do I run a separate wire to the rear ?

And do read it all - the recommended wiring method changes over the 100 or so posts in the sticky. Sniegy starts with the LR recommended way, but this gets AULRO improved along the way.
