    Air bag light on again

I have seen a number of owners / various forums commenting that the airbag light turns on.

    Seems it’s a common problem.
I have had it too but always managed to fix ( somehow) by moving drivers seat up down in & out and thumping the seat back in various places before clearing the code with my IID gap tool.

Interesting I found this link to a safety recall for 2013 & 2014 vehicles … mine in MY 16 and I’ve seen owners with 2017 with the same issue.
Wondering in LR ever fixed the issue in the build for models after 2014.

Many thanks for this - I have the issue regularly (sharing driving with my wife - different seat positioning) so will see if I can fix following these steps. Mine is MY17.

I purchashed mine as a UK import here in NZ. Going thru the service history at Lookers Land Rover Bishops Stortford it obviously did have the same problem. This is what was written on the service invoice ..

"Once engine was running found air bag light on.
Investigate found fault code for n/s air bag oen c
Removed seat and checked resistance between harnes
air bag connector found all ok. Found seat harness
routed incorrectly causing poor pin tension. Re rout
secured wiring all ok. Air bag light no longer on."

Hi to all with the problem. I have just had it happen to my 2015 car.
Used the seat movement to make it go away, however I’m interested to hear if any one has properly fixed the problem. The LR bulletin referred to in earlier post was for US. Was there ever a recall here in OZ ? Also this bulletin suggests the problem is the connector in the rear of side seat bolster. The Utube video suggests the problem could be a connector under the seat. Any definitive answers on this ?. Has any one had a permanent fix, or are most simply moving the seat. Seems if it is that vulnerable, in an accident it may not operate the air bag, hence my desire for a permanent fix.
I have had the car from new, now only 90k, but apart from this light and a replaced “ throttle body” all is well. I’m treating it as a keeper.

My car has just turned the light on again… a gentle wiggle of the harness from the rear below the drivers seat has fixed it again for the moment Air bag light on again
