    Bendigo- an unusual request.

I'm wondering if anyone in the Bendigo area would be willing to help me out; I've been looking out for a specific model of GMC router that I need the switch from for a project (the handle that has the switch in it). One is for sale on FB in Bendigo. What I would like is if someone is able to collect the router from the seller, take the switch off it and mail me the switch. You can do whatever you like with the rest of the router and the blow-moulded case but it will essentially be junk without the switch. Postage for the whole router would be more than my project is worth.

I'm kind'a in the Bendigo area, and I don't really need any more power tools at all(I have heaps).

But if you can show us or define to us what the switch is, or looks like, maybe someone may have one.

Actually main reason for my post is that I recently moved house(to Bendigo area .. 1 hr away). Previous owner had a lot of 'junk' left over he didn't get rid of. Yard is full of junk.
I haven't had the chance to get through it all ... but lots... and lots .. and basically LOTS.. of power tools. A few I've kept, such a very nice FEIN 9" grinder, but I'm sure some of the power tools I have strewn around the place may have a switch you could use.

It's a very specific part from a specific, obsolete model of GMC router, I had one that died and I used the handle/switch assembly for another machine (an old radial-arm saw that I restored for a family member), I made a casting pattern to cast a mount for it in aluminium. I'm doing the same same modification on another radial-arm saw for myself and have been looking out for the same router to rob the same handle / switch assembly from so that I can use the same pattern to cast the same mount for it. The pattern making was quite time consuming so it's worth my while to buy the router rather than make another pattern for a different switch. I'm sure that is clear as mud but in essence I need the handle / switch off this router if I can get it.
