    Weird Aircon problem

Anyone had this problem on Range ROVA Sport. I know this is the Disco forum but it's very well read and the problem may affect Disco 3/4 as, well.
The Problem..... Under 30°+ temperatures the aircom will become warmer after about 1 hour of driving. After the a/c is turned off for about 10-15 minutes the a/c works again until it warms up again after another hour (ish). Turn off again, it comes good. etc. etc.
Anyone got any clues? I would add that the compressor has been checked and it and the gas charge is OK.

Sounds like the evaporator is freezing. Do you have a GAP tool to look at the live parameters?

Possibly a dirty evaporator? Where it can't get rid of the heat efficiently and so is causing it to freeze in spots?

OP, try taking the front grille off the car and have a good look at the smaller radiator looking thing for damage.

    As above - and

    • Also check the drains under the vehicle are not blocked.
    • Have you replaced the filter behind the glovebox in the last few years?

"Compressor gas been checked" does that mean the PCV as well, or that it simply builds pressure and pumps refrigerant around?

Thanks, for the clues. Looks like I've got a bit of work to do.
