    brake upgrades

    Hi All,

I recently bought a set of terrafirma discs (the slotted/grooved ones) and a pair of EBC yellow stuff pads. Since I was doing a lot of work on the braking system anyway to get the ar ready for my oz lap I did the whole shabang in one go so one can never say exactly what contributed the most but the brake pedal feel has improved significantly and the stopping power is greatly improved.

It remains to be seen how they will hold up over time but for now I am a happy camper!

Anyone else ever "upgrade" their brakes on a P38?

    Cheers,
    -P

Not a P38 but a 95 LSE RRC, which was the test mule for the P38.
I have slotted and drilled front discs and they are pretty bloody good.

Always thought that, depending on MY, that P38 and D2 share front brakes.

Sllunnie started a good thread about Green/Yellow stuff brakes that might be worth checking out.

Finally, a D2 with good brakes: EBC DBA

Ill check that thread out. It's not easy using search sometimes -g-

The only thing I found to be a bit disappointing with EBC is that they have SUV/truck brake pads on their site but after checking with the local distributer they were no longer available even though the pads were announced as new only a couple of years back... Weird.

I didn't so much search as remember, because I want to do that particular upgrade when I need new brakes.

Just buy them out of the UK, its really easy and they don't take long to turn up. I just buy them through Paddock Spares.
