Not going to enter into the turbo debate, because the schools of thought are many. What I will say is, before you do any mods to the fuelling/breathing an EGT gauge is a must. Way too easy to do damage chasing oomph without one.

						Hey team.
Have a 93 200tdi single cab and wanted to get a little extra oomph.
I have but not yet installed a ASI performance intercooler, boost pin and rings and new silicone hose set up.
Am looking at upgrading the turbo. Have been looking at the VGT turbo upgrade from LRparts but does anyone have a better suggestion with locally (Gold Coast) sourced turbo upgrade?
Cheers.

sort the intake and exhaust first, fit an EGT gauge or an EMS such as (shamelessplug) the EMS3 | Madman Developments (/shamelessplug) then start to play with the rest of the stuff,
forget the boost pin as it limits the tuning capabilities of the pump.
the last time I was doing turbo specific work up in QLD I used these guys off a reccomendation from someone else... (wasnt a landrover job)
MTA Turbochargers - Repair, Replace, and Rebuild Services
they got me what I needed when and where I needed it faster and cheaper than what the OEM distributrion (not car) were willing to commit to.
