    Metal coolant fitting replacements?

Has anyone made or found a manufacturer of the fittings in the cooling system of the V6 LION engines?

I'm getting sick and tired of replacing the same parts every three or 4 years.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Which particular pieces?

The water outlet has options, not much else goes

Ask your local radiator specialist to fab something up for you.

I've replaced the coolant reservoir 4 times, the thermostat housing 2 times, this week the water pump departed the front of the block and we found the sensor "T" piece leaking, the "T' piece near the top of the hose that descends near the left hand corner of the radiator brittle needing replacement and once all that was repaired. The elbow in front of he thermostat housing decided to divorce itself leaving all my coolant on the M5 at 100kph

Are you replacing with OEM or Aftermarket?

Seems odd. Mine and several other others using OEM have been 10+ years original and replacements (as needed) havent failed.

Mostly genuine LR parts. On one occasion aftermarket, just because of time constraints to get OEM. I have had the car since new so 12 years plus ownership.

    This was Tuesday's episode.

    Very odd.

I’ve got 220k on mine now - lots of hot weather work.

Original coolant bottle, all hoses currently original (about to change it all)

Water outlet was changed to TRS alloy unit at 50k

Water pump original (also getting replaced preventatively this month)

I do a cooling system service every 2 years though. That may be the key to my cooling system’s longevity.

I'm around 350K now with lots of towing heavy trailers.

Today's update: some of the spring hose clamps (aftermarket) on new hoses were leaking, so currently being replaced with screw clamps.
