Double beep on lock and unlock

    Hi.

Currently doing a couple things on a 2.7 Discovery 4.

It has always double beeped on lock and unlock.

Everything seems to lock and unlock correctly though.

No faults that I can see in any related ECU's.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to track down what's causing it?

I'm guessing a lock related sensor isn't supplying the correct info to the bcu.

They all do after about 1 minute.

There is a CCF configuration for arm/disarm chirp. In the Body Control Module.

Is it possible someone has fiddled with a GAP tool or similar previously?

Would that normally trigger a "bonnet open" warning on the dash?

This is possible but I think unlikely.

I will investigate for sure though.

I'm just waiting to sort some diag tool accounts to be sorted before I can pursue.

    Doesn't on a D2, yours may differ.

Agree, however the open bonnet switch or similar responses here should prevent you from locking. If it beeps but locks, i still suspect the 'chirp' setting
