Puma 110 kangaroo hopping when cold

My first post to Aulro. Over the past few days my 2013 Puma 110 has started to kangaroo hop when starting off from cold. At the first gear change from first to second it sort of lurches sometimes violently and I can only stop the lurching/hunting by pushing the clutch in. For a minute or so after that hunts a bit in 4th gear but once it starts to warm up a bit it's fine. I have only tested it around town but haven't had a chance to see how it goes at highway speed. There's no check engine light showing and no codes are coming up on my scangauge. This only seems to happen when it's dead cold ie first start of the day. If I drive long enough to get it to normal running temperature then stop for 15 minutes, the next take off through the gears is ok. The car is regularly serviced and in the last few months has had the clutch replaced (LOF clutch) as well as the adapter shaft (Ashcroft) and the clutch master cylinder. Mileage is less than 90,000 km. It has never been a smooth gear changer but the kangaroo hopping is unusual. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Sounds like the clutch is slipping and then locking up or even disengaging then re-engaging.

Just an update on my kangaroo hopping problem. Now the cyclone has passed I've been able to take the car out again, It doesn't stumble in reverse ie backing off the throttle in reverse doesn't cause any problems. The stumbling or shunting when backing off the throttle is worst when there is not much load on the engine, say doing around 45-50 kmh in 4th gear. I'm getting a bit desperate for hints as to what the problem might be because weather permitting we're heading off to Adelaide tomorrow from Brisbane. So I'm wondering is it transmission related as Randlover suggests or is something else like a fuel or other engine management issue. Thanks.
