    Calibrating new TDV6 primary turbo

Does a replacement TDV6/SDV6 primary turbo need to be calibrated?

IIDTool live values shows a discrepancy between actual and commanded position for a turbo from another vehicle at idle but both increase to match once revs approach 2000 rpm. Idle position is lower than commanded position yet commanded % is zero. The actuator arm can be jiggled and is fully against its internal stop.

There is currently no IIDTool option to calibrate this turbo, only the turbine valve on the secondary turbo which was required and has been successfully calibrated.

I have been adivsed that the ecm learns the actuator position when the ignition is switched on and that the issue will be that the actuator mechanism will be sticky, requiring the usual lubrication and exercising to free the mechanism fully.
