    TDV8 new owner, rear shocks.

Hi guys, after a few P38s and a D2 TD5, we’ve succumbed to the charms of an 09 TDV8 Sport.

The rear shocks are comically worn - are there any recommendations for replacements?

Ive seen conflicting reports of compatibility across variants, ACE etc.

Within five minutes of ownership it went into limp and, but taping up a split intercooler hose corrected the problem - seeking recommendations for replacement, too (black only).

    Cheers
    D

    Yep.

New rear assemblies from UK - use BWI OEM parts only.

And Silicone hose for intercooler pipe (also UK)

Thank you. There seems to be a bit of confusion amongst suppliers which is the correct one. Are the TdV8 ones different to the others?

Thanks guys. Seems the TDV8 ones are slightly different. Importing from Uk puts them over the GST/duty threshold, so may as well go Aussie (providing they are actually BWI as quoted)

I didn't think there was a threshold any more, gst on everything at least on Ebay.

so the newer laws for under 1000 rely on the overseas seller charging the gst and giving it to the gov. most big multinationals do it. but smaller retailers dont.

anything over 1000 will be held at customs via the old system and gst plus import duty and customs fees will be charged , this is nasty and can be like 30%

i order from LR Centre: Land Rover Parts & Range Rover Parts Online and keep the order under 1000 au and dont pay any fees

But don't get too close to $1000 as customs calculates the A$ value using their conversions on the day they receive the package.
