    Battery charging fault!

    Good morning,

Ive been having a few issues with my Discovery 4 SDV6.

just before easter the alternator was making some very funny noises. decided to change before a trip up north to Parabadoo as advised by the nice guys at Rovertech. Whilst up there the main battery decided to die and had to receive a jump start from a fellow camper. Replaced the battery soon after and had no issues.

Got back to Perth and within a day the battery charging fault started to flash intermittetly. Checked the battery and was all good. looked into this a bit further and changed the BMS battery lead on the negative terminal. drove ok for a while then went into melt down flashing every fault there was room for on the dash.

Had the car into chamberlains auto electrical for 2 weeks. fault found was a dodgy plug into the BMS.

drove this morning and all faults came up again. window wipers failed, lights on dash went off, indicators stopped working.

In short I need help and hope someone out there has had a similar experience and knows what the problem is.

Hi Batts and do you have a digital multi meter?

You need to take a number of voltage readings to help find the problem
