D3 brake rotors and pads where from?

    Okcfolks,
I'm needing to replace rotors and pads on the D3. I upgraded last time to the larger diameter front rotors for the V8 version.

I was going to go to Brakes direct but they have closed down.
Where are you sourcing brakes from and what brands?

    ta
    cheers
    Peter

Sad to hear Brakes Direct are gone - that's who I used last.

I bought the DBA 4000 Series HD rotors and they've been great.

I'm with loanrangie - whoever has what I want at the cheapest

I used RDA front and rear and Akebono ceramics. Since changing over 150,000km. Barely any pad wear, no lip on the disc. No dust. It really feels like pseudo science. It shouldn't be possible, but it is. I don't think I'll ever have to change discs or pads again for the rest of its life

Same I have over 150k since changing to Akebono and everything still looks excellent. I have also considered some voodoo magic is involved. Best of all no dust.

Changing over recently to braided steel brake hoses has added some extra grunt no doubt.

    D3 / D4
I use DBA rotors on customers vehicles.
But the last few jobs I have used Brembo rotors.
Pads are only Hella Pagid and never been an issue.

Most of the above has come from use on Defender (classics) as if you want a vehicle to have squeaky brakes then a Defender will be it unless you make sure its spot on. The above has never been an issue hence their use on D3 / D4

thanks a few options there. DBA I have not been able to source the T3 rotors like I got last time.

What vendor are you getting the rotors and pads from?
