    Sliding Window Catch Aftermarket?

    Hi,

I need several window catches for 110 (3 door)

    Part number MWC7648 and MWC7625

These seem ridiculously expensive at $90 each. Does anyone have a workaround or alternative / aftermarket suggestion?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you need the entire catch, or is the square bit just snapped off? I replaced the plastic square bit in my back window catch with metal years ago, cost me nothing and hasn't broken like the plastic one used to do.

Did you find a piece of metal that fitted? Or did you make one?

It was so long ago, I do recall having to make something to fit, might have been just a matter of filing down some key steel or similar. If someone wanted something for the job now I could machine something easily enough, would just need the dimensions. I think it was just a matter of making a bit of rectangular rod the right size and screwing the thumb bit to it.
