    Valve replacement tool

This is a tool I had never heard of.
I have a 4 wheel tip trailer I was putting gravel on the drive with when I noticed one tyre was flat. Looking at it I noticed the valve stem had perished and cracked. Thinking I would have to replace the wheel with the spare I checked the other 3. All cracked and nearly broken through. Big job, remove all 4 wheels etc. Decided to google it and found there is a valve stem removal tool and Utube videos how to do it. Thought buy local so rang our local Auto shops. Autobarn Supercheap Repco and Bursons. None of them had heard of it so I bought off ebay. Eventually arrived so tried it out. Removed the old valve stem OK but found it a problem getting the new one in. 4 valve stems are in the kit. One has to force the lubricated stem through a funnel. I could not do it untill I used a tapered stone in my drill to put a chamfer on the outside of the hole. That worked. Replaced all 4 in about an hour without removing the tyre or wheel. Probably cheap valve stem like I replaced but at least the tool worked. Only for the small car valves or a trailer. Wont work with the big valves on my Landies.

You only need to break the outside bead, to replace a tubeless valve stem.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
