    Major Problem

Hi all, so I've been having this problem for around a month or so now. Basically sometimes when I'm either midly accelerating or coasting at high speeds the car will go into limp, however I only get p0087 codes which is standard when the car goes limp. I have had p132b codes, I've tried lubricating the actuator rod on the turbo as well as replace the intercooler tubes and this code has mostly gone away. The limp thing is very inconsistent so it doesnt make me think fuel or an air leak. Also I get a flashing engine system fault display on the dash when the car goes limp which I've never gotten with any other limp problem. Has anyone else had something similar? Would appreciate any advice, thank you.

You have a 2.7L engine I presume. It’ll be your high pressure fuel pump that needs replacing. You can try replacing the fuel filter first, and the low pressure lift pump, and the pressure sensor, but after those don’t fix it, you’ll end up needing to replace the HPFP. Not cheap and refurbished units have also given some dramas. Sorry buddy. Super common issue.
