    Ordering from Paddock 4x4

    Hi all

Anybody ever ordered from Paddock Spares in England? I was just on their website http://www.paddockspares.com/ and I am interested in their extended bumpstops. Freight to my door in Brissie was around 15 pounds (estimate).

    Cheers

Yeah got parts from them in the past. But that was in the Uk. They are good but i also had a land rover place around the corner from me so did not use them that much. But heard loads of good reports about them. Most of the struff is Briparts and Allmakes. Who are the biggest makers of Landy pattern parts

I've used Paddock before about 5 mths ago. Very good service. Had internet tracking of package. I got a susp. hanger and repair sections of a firewall on a series 3 landy. They weren't landrover parts, the susp hanger didn't work and the bulkhead repair kit wasn't the same as the landrover style. So the finish isn't as good as I had hoped. The susp hanger ended up in the bin. The paint shop made a new one.

So great service, but sometimes not as good as landrover.(Parts)

Just make sure they dont charge you the 17.5% VAT as its export, and if you are buying a few parts that in total inc freight are over $300? but less than $1,000 then make sure they also send via Royal Mail - to avoid import duty + GST.

I wanted a timing cover/oil pump off RPI recently. Price 167 quid, shipping 80 quid. I bought it cheaper here (taking into account possible duty and GST implications) and got it the same day.

i agree we ordered some parts from craddocks, got stung gst
and had to collect from importer, not at all impressed.
personally find paddocks customer service lacking, recently been using island4x4
and find matt savage very good.
britpart and all makes you get vwhat you pay for have had good and bad stuff off both companies.

Thanks for tips...especially about the VAT, requesting "Royal Mail" and avoiding import tax!

    my order was only 50 pounds...roughly $125

I wonder how long it will take to deliver?
