    New Tyres Time

    Hi All
Its time to replace the tyres on the Disco does anyone know what edition of 4WD Monthly was there comparison on allterain tyres as i have decided to move away from the Michelin's. I have been thinking of maybe Pirrelli or Opats.
    Regards

Goodyear MTR's nice and aggresive without being over the top. Seem to be lasting well on my disco.

    Hi All
I dont think that i need mud terrains as i do not use the disco off road enough.

If the Disco is mainly a road car then I recommend Opats. I have use Pirellis, mud pattern and old and new scorpion at pattern.
I currently use Opats as road tyres and am finding them very good. Also a really good price. A friend also runs them on a Disco TD5 and is more than happy with them athough his are not wearing as well. My heavilly loaded Rangie runs just over the recommended pressures by a couple of psi and he is listening to the tyre shop who recommended around 40-45 psi. Tyres are one area where most people have an opinion so you need to work out what is best for the majority of use the car will have.

    Hi All
Ian i agree the price is very good for the Opats and the disco is used mainly on road but with one long outback trip a year usually towing a Aussie swag camper for up to 6 weeks and a couple of shorter trips mainly with the RR club of NSW.
