    Talking Specs for 2003 disco

G'day people, I am struggling to find any websites with specs for 2003 Disco TD5s. I am wanting to replace my 18" x 8 rims with 16" x 8s as I have just relocated to Darwin and I want some mud tyres so I can go and play when it rains again. Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Welcome to AULRO

16 inch rims will fit, especially if they are land rover rims.

Thanks, and thanks for the info. I thought they came out with 16"s. Will need to forgive my ignorance as I am a recent convert to the green oval.

    Not a problem

also, how is your turning circle, with 16 inch wheels on you can get shorter steering stops to improve the turning circle a bit.

Turning circle is akin to a Western Star at the moment, but is a small sacrifice to make for the comfort factor. My last 4wd didnt even have pwr steer so it hasnt really bothered me too much. I am still tossing up trading her in on a Defender so at this stage I am not sure how far I am going to go with this one. Will definately look at the stops tho if I do replace the wheels.

Hi there, another territorian on the forum

First off, you'll be waiting a while for some decent rain now... its almost the dry season!

As for wheels the standard far is 16x7 with 235/70R16, then 16x8 with 255/65R16 and lastly the 18x8 with 255/55. Look around because if you put a 2" suspension lift in you could go to a higher profile 18", there are more becoming available now days. Though personally I'd favour the 16" with more sidewall.

Yep I reckon it will be a while waitin for the rain. But I went to the Landy shop today to try and test out a Defender but they arent gunna have any new ones till Sept.
Reckon I might be lining up for a new one around then anyways, so might just stick with the 18s for now. Got a set of Coopers HT's on em and they seem to handle anything I have thrown it at so far.

The Territory it seems is 4wd heaven so far!
