I should take umbrage at thatBeing a sporran wearing Scot at every opportunity, I cannot see this rediculous idea gaining much ground....certainly not inside Scotland anyway.
I was once asked though at my Uni Graduation Ball (in England) to hand over my Skean Duh (Knife in the sock) as it was obviously a potentially leathal weapon. The Englishman bouncer however, was unaware that tradition dictates when a Scotsman's Skean Duh is removed from the sock it must draw blood....preferably that of an Englishman's........he wasn't too impressed by my request to cut him but took my Skean Duh anyway![]()
