    Brake pads for D2

I'm up for brake pads soon, what brands had the brake problems generating brake sqeal on the D2?

Also is anyone running the Bendix pads with the titanium strip on them?

Get them from Karcraft, they are the cheapest for genuine pads, also check your rotors too, they normally go too after around 2 to 3 sets of pads, they are very cheap to replace, even genuine ones.

I've got the genuine pads, and the squeal. I'd like to know if anyone has found a brand that doesn't squeal?

My Rotors are ok for the moment but DBA vented discs are in the pipeline due to the amount of towing done in the car.

    Replacement pads for D2

I have a D2 V8 and couldn't believe the price of the OEM pads! After looking at the brakes I noticed theyre made by Lucas so I decided to look for a set of lucas branded pads. In brisbane I found a TRW/Lucas branded set and I think it was $82 for the fronts and $32 for the back. Beenleigh Bearings and suspension!

They produce dust on the front wheels but don't squeal. I replaced the pads to stop the squealing from interfering with and shutting down the traction control systems. They work well and don't seem to be wearing too rapidly as I have had them on for about 2 years/20000ks and tow a 2 ton trailer constantly.

Don't know the after market brand they get from the UK, but they do genuine Land Rover cheaper than LR here.

As above the EBC pads are very good, but aren't cheap.

Also the better the pads the less Ks you get from your rotors.

Be careful with buying genuine Land Rover parts outside of a dealership.

There have been a few parts made in China, brake pads specifically that I know of, that are in Land Rover packaging but are the "inferior" product. They look all the world like genuine parts but don't perform like them (maybe that's a good thing).

I'd imagine that this will be happening with other parts soon, if it's not already.
