    Billies form the US

Have had some response from the US regarding Bilstein shocks. Price for four shocks is $299 US and freight approx $120 US so total $420 US or approx $460 AUD. Great deal I think. Can not understand why they are $70-75 US in the US and $212-225 AUD here as they have to be imported to the US or Australia anyway from Europe.
Would like to support Australian business, but at $460 AUD delivered from the US compared to $870 plus about $100 freight from Perth its not even a close contest. I think I will be ordering these.
    For reference
Defender 2000 TD5 (same as D1) for the front.
    Part no : Front B46 0243 Rear BE5 2779
    from ProAmAuto good quick response
Have not had a reply from Shock Warehouse as of yet.
    For Discoverys :
    MA 95-99 and 2 door 89-95 : Front B46 0243 Rear B46 0243
    08/99 onwards : Front BE5 6046 Rear BE5 6047
Some are saying suitable for lift, but I am trying to confirm. Trying to get lengths to decide.

Thanks - now I have to order some for the Old Boy's Disco

I tried Shock Wharehouse a while ago to find some info on 80s shocks, but to no avail.

These guys sound good, so I'll order with them.

    Cheers
    Dave.

Hi Craig, B46 0243's are to suit D1, RRC and Defender etc. B46 0253's are the rear for RRC and D1, and County 110 also AFAIR.

D2's have eye top and bottom rear, and eye top and horizontal pin bottom fronts instead.

    Justin,
What are your thoughts on using these with a 40mm lift?? Would I have to look at a 5100 series long travel instead??
    Cheers

    Thanks Craig for the info.

I'm looking for extended travel billies for the rear of the 110 V8 because of its aftermarket air suspension. Ideally 50mm but advice welcomed.

Justin / Craig - any chance you could help me with part numbers? My 'net searches have left me confused.

    Tks

    Chris

I just ordered a set of (4) 7100 series 10" remote canister shocks from eShocks.com

Delivered to my door for $900.00

Should make the Disco handle a lot nicer

Downsouth Motorsports have very good prices on Fox and King, too, and can revalve. (e.g. Fox 10" travel, remote can, 2.0" body, 5/8" shaft, Au$328/pair + freight)

With the way the US $ is falling compared to ours, it will only get better.
