Nissan Micra anyone?
Hi all,
My other car is a Nissan Micra (please don't laugh)
.
Anywho the fuel pump died yesterday while I was in Melb, a call out mechanic came and wanted $700 to put a new one in. So I said thanks and I will work out another way to get home.
Ended up being rescued by the folks, they drove up to the city with a trailer on the back of the disco.
So now we have the job of fitting a new fuel pump on the weekend....yipee!
Question: Does anyone happen to own a Micra (can PM me if you'd rather
) and have a service manual?
Cheers Natalie

I know its probably going to sound stupid, ( i have references)
change of tact, just had a look for you,
there is a nissan micra forum , it said they have tech help etc
here it is,
http://www.micra.com.au/
just had a quick troll they are fuel injected and have a fuel rail, so I guess a electric fuel pump, what a bout a generic replacement from super parts, or sign up and ask on the forum.

As it turns out I am going to cross my fingers and try and drop in a second hand pump for $175...
On the hunt for a manual now...seems noone stocks them!

sounds like you have the makings of a plan, had a quick lurk again around the forum site, nothing like fuel pump for sale, 175 is a lot better than 700
just typing in Nissan Micra into google brings up a heap of sites, some with questions and the like.
or you could try your locla library, they 'may ' have what you are looking for.
