Anyone with a parts catalogue?

Could someone please look up ETC4953 ?

I am pretty sure the ETC4953 was the oil filter originally nominated for the 200TDI and after the 300TDI came out with the vertical filter, things were simplified and both used the ERR3340.

Four wheel drives in Melbourne still have a longer filter listed in the catalogue for the 200TDI and early V8 than the shorter 300TDI and V8i ones.

FYI: ETC4953 = Z9 according to rycofilters.com.au

Valvoline site: It says its the right size for V8 w emissions control from 77-86, EFI models from 86-89, and 4.2L from 92-96.

I guess it is superseded data, but I'm led to believe that the 200TDIs were originally using Z9 size filters (ETC4953).
