There seem to be quite a covern of S1 enthusiasts in the ACT, I must know half a dozen or so.
Regarding the engine colour I have heard that a mix of 2 parts of Humbrol Enamel Number 96 and 1 part number 149 gives a very close match for the colour. Not that you would buy Humbrol paints to make up the colour. However if you make a swatch a paint specialist can mix the colours for you.
Regarding the vehicle there is a recent thread in this section about it. From memory it was mid bronze green for the series 1 and deep bronze green for the series 2a.

Addit: this was the link for the British Standard Colours The Numpty's had the wheels for their Leon painted in Code 224 "Deep Bronze Green" and on the computer screen it looked very close to the original colour inside a 1957 LR rim.
